Profile of Workshop Facilitator: Assoc. Prof. Dr Jason Ng

Assoc. Prof. Dr Jason Ng is the Associate Dean (Employability and Engagement) at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Sunway University. An applied econometrician by training, he has been developing diverse data analytical skill sets, which he has employed in his education, research and consultancy projects. He is a certified data professional by the Centre of Applied Data Science, having completed their 2-month course on Enterprise Data Analytics. He is an avid user of R, utilizing it frequently in his teaching and research. Beyond just modelling data, he has grown to appreciate the importance of wrangling and visualizing data to tell a richer story that econometric models usually don’t.
